As this article is being published through the wonder of computers and their ability to schedule things ahead of time, I’m making my way to Charlotte for my 10th annual MACE. Hopefully, I’ll have lots of cool things to talk about from it and my 3 days straight of gaming there, but first, let me catch up on this week’s game night and all it entailed.
Because, you know, it continues to be a strange period in my gaming career. After missing last week’s regular game night because I was still recovering from Extra Life and my ensuing illness, I was glad to get back this week. But there were only 7 of us there the whole night, and never more than 5 of us at any one time around a table together. I’m hoping that’s just a fluke, though, and despite me not being able to get in a game of our Game of the Month! (X-Wing Minis, which I’m freaking dying to play more), it was still a lot of fun…

Since this week was Halloween, I was really happy to get in a play with Betrayal at House on the Hill at game night on Tuesday. Betrayal has been one of my favorite “spooky” boardgames since I first played it, and our session this week came right down to the wire…
