Picture of the Week – Week #25

This week’s picture comes from my first play of Giza: The Great Pyramid at my last game night.  It’s a pretty nice looking game anyway, but the focus of this picture is also the neatest mechanic of the game to me, which is the turn order/special bonus grid.  In each “dynasty” (5 turns, which is half of the game), you’re only allowed to take each action once, so it was pretty cool to see it all filled out after the first dynasty was complete:

This picture of all four players working together to push one of the pyramid blocks up the quarry track was also pretty cool, so I’ll share it as well:

  1. Giza looks like a cool game. I love board games that are ancient egyptian or ancient greek/roman themed.
