In all the busyness of my birthday, Gwen’s birthday, and Father’s Day over the weekend, I didn’t have time to report that the Kickstarter campaign for the White Elephant Card Game has now gone live!
Designer Brian Kelly actually got the project started a day earlier than expected, and in the 4 or 5 days since, it’s already almost 1/3 funded! In addition, he’s running a special offer where the first 100 backers will receive twice as many copies of the game as they preorder, and as of the time that I’m writing this, that means that 41 more backers can benefit from this.
The really cool thing is that he plans on having them available by mid-October, which should be plenty of time for you to have them to give away for your own White Elephant/Dirty Santa gift exchanges over the holidays! I haven’t gotten the chance to play it yet, but as a light family-style/filler card game, this looks to be a really solid and (hopefully) fun game.
For more information, check out the White Elephant website or go straight to Kickstarter. And by the way, regardless of whether you’re interested in the game, you really have to check out the video that he made for it on Kickstarter, because it’s freaking great.
