RPG-or-Die!-Con is Tomorrow!!!

Okay, it’s not like a “real” convention or anything; just a few friends coming over to play some cool, indie RPG’s with me.  But it’s something that I’ve been trying to get together forever, and I can’t wait!

The main event will be my “Unauthorized Human Trials” scenario for Dread that I ran at MACE.  I’ve got five character questionaires for them to choose from, all of whom are participating in some sort of clinical trial at a company called PrimaGen.  It went really well the first time I ran it, and I expect even better things from it this time.  I’ve even got a cool “Onyx edition” Jenga set to make it even more special!

After that, I hope to get Fiasco played as well.  I’ve already prattled on like a giddy teenage girl about Fiasco, so I don’t need to say much more about it here.

To start off, Kenny, Tom, and I may actually do some character generation for Diaspora (while waiting for Britt and Carol).  We did the cluster generation at game night a few weeks ago, and we’re all pretty excited to take the next step with it.  Kenny has blogged about our results a couple of times.  I took his writeups and added in my meager photoshop and layout skills to make a rough-draft Posted in ,

    Hey Chris,

Though I probably couldn’t be a regular due to life/job commitments, keep me in mind for future one-off role-playing activity, if you have that need or desire.

    Good to know, Adam!

I’d have love to invite more people for this past weekend, but the games we played were pretty limited in how many people they will support.  We could have actually had one more for Dread, but then someone would have been left out of Fiasco.  Of course, it probably would have been almost as much fun to watch as it was to play in, but still, I didn’t want anyone to be left out.

If we have enough people truly interested, maybe we could look towards having a real “mini-con” where we have multiple RPG’s running at the same time…

Cool! I couldn’t have made it this weekend anyway so don’t fret for a millisecond.

But yeah, I’d love to get back into some RPG’ing … as it stands now, my only source for RPG’ing is yearly AD&D weekend meetups with old friends.

Are you going to do a session report I hope? Nothing beats a good RPG session report.

  4. Your post is rocking and knowledgeable… I really appreciate the way you write . I would like to read more from you.

  5. That was a great editorial. I stumbled by your piece and felt it exceptionally handy.

  6. That is a very interesting post, Patents are needed for all new technology. If you come up with something be sure to get a patent on it or you may just have your technology copied.
